So, here is part three in the Here's A Poem I Wrote series.
I have a one or two more poems like this, but then a couple of them get a little darker. Regardless though, we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.
Enjoy:
Once Blissfully Ignorant, but No More
The girl in the
credit department
calls me “Cakes.”
Says I’m sweet.
She has a bit of that
sexy
Puerto Rican
Brooklyn
attitude.
I’ve never met her.
The credit department isn’t
in the same building
as mine
but we talk almost three
times a day.
“Wha’ you need, Cakes, ‘oney?”
“Hey, Catalina, can you give me
some information for an account?”
“Wha’s di account numba, Cakes?”
My
asshole
supervisor
told me she’s three
hundred pounds with
no teeth.
He’s a selfish fucking
prick.
